The appointment of the members of the State Commission is made on the recommendation of a committee consisting of the Chief Minister, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Minister in charge of the Home Department in that state, the leader of the opposition in the Legislative Assembly, the Chairman of Legislative council and the leader of the opposition in that council.
