Antibiotics Medicines used to treat infections caused by microorganisms, such as bacteria etc.
Analgesics Medicines used to relieve pain.
Antihistamines Medicines used to fight the histamine reaction of an allergy, by resisting the action of the histamine.
Anaesthetics Drugs that block the sensory nerves, making a person unconscious. These are used during surgeries so that the patient does not feel any pain.
Antipyretics Medicines used to reduce body temperatures.
Enema A fluid which is passed into the rectum for desired bowel movement.
Lotion Medicines used to wash the external body parts in order to cool, soothe or provide antiseptic effect.
Narcotics A drug that is addictive, but reduces pain and changes the mood and behavior of a person. It also induces sleep.
Ointment A semisolid preparation applied externally as a remedy or for soothing an irritation.
Paste Medicine of soft and sticky consistency; applied externally.
Suppository Medicated mass inserted into the rectum to aid bowel movements.
Sedatives Drugs used to induce sleep in a person.
Tranquilizers Depressant drugs that combat anxiety.
Vaccines Medical substance that provides temporary immunization from contagious disease.
